Its called the recovery suit.      I argue that the significance of Superman's black recovery suit is spiritual and should get special recognition on the Easter holiday alongside of the Easter Bunny, Easter eggs, Easter baskets, Chocolate, etc.      After Superman was killed by Doomsday in the "Death Of Superman " comic, the kryptonians put Kal-El in the black suit while they were resurrecting him. When he finds out that his co-worker Lois Lane is in the direct path of the giant meteor, Clark Kent runs over to ENTERTAINMENT EARTH and rushes into the phone booth.      His body becomes fully articulated as he changes into a real fabric costume.
