This show had a dark film noir inspired animation style.  The Batman character was a man of few words. He has a few memorable lines but all of the really great monologues from this show are given by the villains. Batman: The Animated Series really highlighted the villains. The only real monologue given by the Batman character in this show was an inner monologue type voice over in the beginning of season 1 Episode 31 called "Dreams In Darkness". I transcribed it below. "There's always time to heal", the doctor told me, but he was wrong. There was no time left. Not for me, not for him,...

THE SPIRITUALITY OF SUPERMAN

I will receive a small fee, if you CLICK ON THE LINK and MAKE A PURCHASE.      I had forgotten until recently that Superman once wore a black suit with a silver Superman logo. Its called the recovery suit.      I argue that the significance of Superman's black recovery suit is spiritual and should get special recognition on the Easter holiday alongside of the Easter Bunny, Easter eggs, Easter baskets, Chocolate, etc.      After Superman was killed by Doomsday in the "Death Of Superman " comic, the kryptonians put Kal-El in the black suit while they were resurrecting him. The Black suit helped Kal-El absorb more energy from the sun and resurrect faster. Superman also briefly wore the black suit when he lost his ability to get energy from the sun.      S...

I will receive a small fee, if you CLICK ON THE LINK and MAKE A PURCHASE.      Most superhero stories depict women in one of two ways: 1) The beautiful damsel in distress who always needs a Superman to come to her rescue (like Lois Lane) and 2) A sexy Wonder Woman who's tough enough to fight alongside of any man and will even protect him in some cases.      Men love the damsel in distress who always makes them feel needed but then men also love the sexy Wonder Woman who's strong enough to help them do battle with whatever life throws at them. How do we choose? I think we need both types of women but this blog post will focus on the sexy Wonder Woman type.      A Wonder Woman will use her bracelets of Submission to deflect all kinds of bullets and dangers away from her Super...

When he finds out that his co-worker Lois Lane is in the direct path of the giant meteor, Clark Kent runs over to ENTERTAINMENT EARTH and rushes into the phone booth.      His body becomes fully articulated as he changes into a real fabric costume. I will receive a small fee, if you CLICK ON THE LINK and MAKE A PURCHASE.      Real Hollywood star power comes to ENTERTAINMENT EARTH with two different Joker action figures. Both of these action figures will make any fan of the DC Multiverse reminisce about two very different but equally iconic portrayals of the Joker character that were given by two very different but equally iconic actors. These action figures may even spark debates about who played the role better.      Its Jack Nicholson verses Heath Ledger. Jack Nicholson gave a upbeat comedic portrayal of the Joker character in Tim Burton's Batman film which also starred Michael Keaton as Batman . Heath Ledger's portrayal of the Joker character in Christopher Nolan's "The Dark Knight" was much Darker, way more intense and psychological. Jack Nich...

I will receive a small fee, if you CLICK ON THE LINK and MAKE A PURCHASE.      The hit animated series, Batman: The Animated Series, taught us alot about how The Joker feels about the cat and mouse game that he plays with Batman .       The Joker doesn't hate Batman or want to kill him. He actually loves Batman . The Joker needs Batman just as much as his crime victims do. Batman provides a counteracting force that brings balance to whatever The Joker does.      The Joker actually enjoys the little game where he throws that balance off by committing some crime and then having the balance restored when Batman brings him to justice. We see this same theory play out in the Dark Knight movie where Heath Ledger plays The Joker character.   ...
